ABOUT ME

I LOVE traveling, as do you. But the more I travel the more I realize that you don't need to go far to widen your horizon. Meeting interesting people, sharing stories and culture can be a way of traveling without even leaving.

I do leave a lot though. Last summer was spent interning at the UN in New York. This experience changed me forever. I will tell you that story if we ever meet.

I love being ACTIVE. And lazy. And spontaneous.

I think I'm a lot of things, good and bad. But I'm still on the track of discovering myself, and hopefully will be for the rest of my life.

The next adventure is India. I am writing my thesis, and doing my field work in India. That is not my only mission though, I want to become better at yoga and meditation and further develop myself.

PHILOSOPHY

My goal in life is to improve myself as a human being. Living, loving, giving. I don't wish to achieve greatness, but to improve the world in the smallest way.

I haven't participated. Yet.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I don't have personal experience with couch surfing. I registered here a loooong time a go, but never logged in after that. So I just "found" my account again and I'm finally ready.

Intereses

I'm like a little kid, curious and interested in everything around me. Maybe that's why I studied social anthropology.

I like to be social and spontaneous. I might all of a sudden get the idea to go camping in the snow, or buy plane tickets for tomorrow. I'm crazy like that.

As far as hobbies go, I love hiking and generally being outside in the nature. I also have my advanced diving certificate (whoopwhoop) and I dive every chance I get. I adore animals, have a cute little cat and am constantly stopping my self in getting more animals.

Música, películas y libros

I'm not really a movie buff, though I love to watch them. I am a documentary geek, just ask my netflix account.

I am a music lover. It's always hard to define ones taste in music, mine spans from old-timers like The Doors (big favorite), Dylan, Pink Floyd and other classics to Fat Freddy's drop, Mumford and sons, Radiohead and Jose Gonzales. I can also get jiggy with J.T. and Rihanna, and I like jazz. Does this sum it up?

I've been many places, seen world renown monuments like the Pyramids, Sydney Opera house and Taj Mahal. I lived in New York, and I've seen places.
But still my native country, Iceland, is the most magical place I've ever seen.

I want to share an experience with you. I want to see your town through your eyes and hopefully do my town justice. I want to make new friends and widen my horizon.
