Hi, I'm Zack. I’m a fully-vaccinated freelance writer from Singapore, amateur baker, watcher of probably too much television and other things.

Sold my flat back home and am permanently traveling; love wandering around with no set agenda or itinerary, discovering things along the way and meeting people.

I’m pretty easy going (most of the time, not so great when faced with computer difficulties), like talking to people (used to be a full-time journalist) but can take care of myself if my host is busy.

PS. My CS references are a bit old as I switched to mostly using Airbnb for stays when I was taking long trips. I moved from place to place spontaneously, which made it difficult to reach out to hosts in advance. I’m happy to share my Airbnb profile / references if needed :)

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Okay, this is a bunch more than one, but:

1) Traveling for months at a time every year.

2) Walking through the Yorkshire Dales in England by myself in winter, six hours a day for a week, not meeting anyone for hours and hours.

3) Sneaking into a fortress in Grenoble with some strangers because the entrance we got to was locked.

4) Soaking in the atmosphere during the Las Fallas festival in Valencia, Spain, and then the Semana Santa (Holy Week) in Seville.

5) A 10-day road trip with friends around the circumference of Iceland.

6) Sleeping overnight under the Stonehenge at the annual Summer Solstice party. The weed was so pervasive you could get high breathing the air.

7) Going to a rave with university students in Edinburgh where I was the oldest person by a decade.

8) Driving a tank and a motorcycle across the plains of Australia and forests of Thailand (I was in the Singapore army).
