About Me
Helloooo! :)
My name is Ida and I am from Amsterdam.
At the moment I am an exchange student in Seoul, South Korea. This is my first time being in Asia, and so far it is an amazing experience! I chose to do my semester abroad here because of my interest in urbanism. Seoul has it all; traditional and hypermodernity can be found in one street, or even one building. Extremely interesting. Little did I know about the culture, but I am learning everyday. I worked in Busan as an english teacher in a language cafe (Workaway!<3) before going to Seoul and made really good friends, both international and Korean!
I hope to visit Tokyo and Vietnam during my stay here, and of course, to see as much of South Korea as I can!
Normally, I live in Amsterdam. In my gap year, I lived in Barcelona for a halve year. I worked in a hostel where I met beautiful people! I love working in a team, like a bar a hostel or a volunteer project. I am easygoing, friendly and almost always in a happy, positive mood :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing really changed my travels!!! I love to see where and how people live, I want to know more about the real live of places that i visit and actually meet locals instead of the all the Australians and Americans that you meet in most hostels ;) I had really nice hosts, who showed me a different side of their city, took me out with their friends and made me feel very welcome! I love to share positive energy and make people appreciate their own city more!
