Overview
About Me
I'm a friendly and happy Norwegian eager to explore new places and languages. I am a PhD student in molecular and cell biology. I grew up in Norway but an everlasting need to move around and learn new languages has taken me to England, Denmark, Canada and France before moving to Germany. I love arriving in a new place not knowing anyone or which bus to take or what route to take to get from A to B and then slowly building a network of friends and invaluable shortcuts to make that place home.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing offers one of the best opportunities to encounter local culture, open and welcoming people and a unique way of travelling and experiencing a country/city.
Interests
I love the outdoors; cross country skiing, hiking and bike tours. As well as good food, languages and molecular biology. I am also a great train enthusiast and travel with them whenever possible.

Music, Movies, and Books
Just read "Le malade imaginaire" by Molière, recommended if looking for good 17th century comedy!!
And it's funny how "All by myself" is strikingly similar to Rachmaninov's piano concerto no. 2, 2nd movement.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Biking the Cabot Trail witnessing spring arriving in Nova Scotia.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Some key steps in the priming of the kidney progenitor cell.
