Overview
About Me
Hi there! My name is Ida, I’m a 23-year-old girl from Norway currently studying in my final year on a bachelor’s degree in creative writing and communication. I’m taking a break in my studies to do some traveling and will be coming to Hawaii from mid March until May. I'm super spontaneous and decided to go on this adventure a few days ago.
I love meeting new people, expanding my horizons, learning new things and getting new experiences. My superpower is probably being able to find something positive in all circumstances. I'm a big fan of positive thinking and mindfulness and I'm always seeking to make the best out of every situation. My hobbies include health and fitness, yoga, dancing and hiking. My passions are photography, filming, painting, music and writing - and anything expressive or creative really. I have a deep love and compassion for animals and nature. I always enjoy reading and talking about spirituality, philosophy and psychology. I consider myself as open minded, caring and adventurous.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing has allowed me to connect with interesting and kind people I wouldn't have met otherwise. What I remember the most from my travels is often the people I meet! I have met so many special people I feel like I've known for my whole life, which makes my trips so memorable.

Music, Movies, and Books
Some of my favorite books are The Power of Now, The alchemist, 21 lessons for the 21 century, Sapiens, And the Mountains Echoed, Reality Transurfing, Tomorrow I was always a lion, The Universe Has Your Back. And I loooove music, my music taste is ever changing and evolving but I have so many golden songs to show you!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I traveled Asia by myself for a few months without any plan at all, figuring out what I was going to do day by
day. My most interesting experiences was probably when I stayed in the jungle in Indonesia with 200 hippies for three weeks, or when I stayed on a deserted island in Cambodia with locals for three weeks. It was super rewarding to live of the land and interesting to live so secluded without any connection to the outside world.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share a lot of positive energy and enthusiasm! I'll happily teach you about Norwegian culture, talk about psychology, self development, the universe and stories from my travels
