Hi, I'm Ida and I'm 21 years old. During high school, I went to France and stayed there for six months in Dijon and in La Rochelle. I met amazing people during this time and as this was part of a student exchange, I also know, what it's like, to be a host :)

Now, I'm studying physics in Heidelberg. I quite enjoy having long conversations, learning new skills and meeting interesting people. I'm also a great fan of playing Ultimate Frisbee, running, cycling, bouldering, hiking and I'm always excited to try new sports. I like spending time in nature, discussing politics and cooking.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm convinced, that one can get to know a new country or city in a far more authentic, honest and impressive way, when getting in contact with locals. Staying with somebody and getting to know their point of view, opens a completely new perspective on the culture and is a great chance to inspire each other with new ideas.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Doing a ski tour in the north of Norway with nearly strangers while standing on skis for the third time. It was one of the most scary, amazing and impressive moments in my life.
