About Me

I am twenty years old and I'm currently backpacking in Managua Nicaragua with my friend.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would love to meet people who live and come from the country I'm visiting to really experience the country the way it is in an every day life. To get behind the tourist scene. One of my biggest wishes is to be reborn in a new country/culture while still having the memories of my other lives, so that i could experience every single culture and way of life there is and will be.

Music, Movies, and Books

Some of my favorite books are Everything Is Illuminated by Jonathan Safran Foer, East of Eden by John Steinbeck

I really love the movie Submarine directed by Richard Ayoade, because of the atmosphere you get around you while you watch it and also the soundtrack by Alex Turner. I'm also a big fan of Twin Peaks.

I love quirky and music that challenges the ear but also pop, soul, disco, folk, hip hop and rock.
Some of the musical acts I've been listening a lot to is
Hozier, Django Django, Soley, Peter Gabriel, Fiona Apple, Tim Christensen

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to a Danish thing called Folk high school where you live at the school, but you don't have ordinary subjects. You chose what you want to spend time with and you do it with a lot of different open minder people who care as much as yourself. It is one big community and more that valg of the experience of being there is the people who are there with you. You are friends with your teachers who invest a lot of their life in the school and the students but also the kitchen who cooks for you every day and the maintenance employees. Everybody helps. You take turns helping the kitchen cook and wash dishes or setting the tables and everyone is assigned rooms to clean every day. Like one big family. The keyword to højskole, as it is called in Danish, is fellowship.
