About Me

I returned to the US after 6 months in Southeast Asia, doing NGO work. That region captured my heart and took my breath away. I like the freedom I found in the chaos. I lived in Cambodia, learned bits of Khmer, did some hitchhiking, and wandered through markets. I hope to make it back soon, soon, soon.

My favorite cities are Saigon, Taipei, Marrakech, Mexico City, and Montreal. I think the most memorable experiences have been meeting fellow travelers, but also meeting locals... it makes such a difference when visiting a foreign place!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been to several CS meetings and met incredible travelers who were ready to share really cool experiences and stories.

I think it was through meeting couchsurfers that I realized that there is a difference between travel and tourism.

Interests

I'm learning French! And I'm fluent in Spanish and English, if people want to practice.

I love cooking, spending time in cafés, hiking, markets (flea or food), and traveling to cities to try new cuisines.

I love good conversations; when listening to other people's stories+experiences, I feel like I learn so much.
