Hello! 👋

My name is Idan I am 25 years old from Israel.
Few years ago I discovered my biggest passion in life - traveling. I have been wandering around South America, Mexico, US and many (but not enough) countries in Europe.

I love the feeling of arriving to a new place, seeing different sights, hearing unfamiliar language, eating local food.

This year I am starting to study and will take a break from big trips but hopefully will keep on traveling as much as possible.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Traveling is not only about the places you visit. It is about the people you meet, the stories you hear, the culture you absorb. I want to experience the places I am visting like a local. I want to learn first hand about the culture, share stories and build international friendships over great memories.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitchhiked in most of Argentina, saw the milky way in Atacama desert, stayed in a small community in the jungles of Peru and participated in a local ceremony. Skydived above the beautiful city Bariloche.

LEARNING

When I was in South America I found out how much I love the Spanish language. I am learning Spanish and trying to improve it on a daily basis. I am also trying to learn French, it is way more complicated for me 😅 but I will make it :)

TEACHING

I can teach you how to cook popular Israeli dishes.
If you are interested in history and politics I can tell you about my country and the complicated situation we are facing nowadays (We will need a beer because it's an heavy topic 😅)
I can also teach you some words in Hebrew and some other stuff.

SHARING

I would be happy to tell stories about my travels, life and everything you want to hear. I would also like to hear about your stories, culture and anything you want to share, I am a really good listener :)
