ABOUT ME

I am reaching 27years of life, and I have never felt so free and capable until now. This account was made in 2014 but it took five years to really feel comfortable to explore the world and to do the things I always dreamed of.

Growing in up in Dc, Maryland, Virginia area (DMV!), I was going through life doing what I felt was expected...which was go to university, get a good job, get married, and start to bare children. I went through half the list...and then really really realized that I wanted something different (not more, or less, just different) from those around me.

I decided I wanted to love myself and my life before I could love another and bring others into this world. In the mist of my soul-searching, I discovered traveling...not just going to another country or city...but actually traveling---going some place and immersing into the culture of the land I was in. It was so beautiful and so pure and the greatest love I had ever experienced.

This love drove me to pack up from the DMV....move to NYC for two very excruciating years. My time in NYC taught me so much about myself...about what I can and cannot tolerate from people, places and things. It also taught me that anything is possible if I simply believe...and I believe, it would be best to quit my job as a behavior therapist working with children with autism which i loved so much and to move half way across the world to be an au pair in Spain.

Crazy right? But thats where I am today. On the side of the planet where I have dreamed of living for a while, with a more balanced and simple life, and enjoying things as they come. I know the au pair life wont last forever, but I do know that the travel life will, and that the life of seeing and experiencing has only begun for me.

I am here to get the real on your city or town. I am here to meet new people, visit new places, and try new things.. I want to keep this great universal CouchSurfing community growing for all the best reason.

Right now I do not even have a legit place to call my own, but I soon hope that I can give back as a host. In the meantime, I would love to share my life journey with as many wonderful CouchSurfers that I may cross paths with <3
