Hi, we’re Matilda and Iden. We’re excited about exploring the mountains, sharing nice company over some yummy food, and seeking out live music.

We both work in conservation in Tasmania, but we’re taking a break from our jobs to escape the winter and enjoy some sunshine and hiking trails across Europe.

Matilda loves plants and birds. When she’s not exploring nature, she’s likely embroiding, enjoying live music, relaxing in a café or catching up with friends.

Iden is someone who enjoys working with his hands, whether it’s crafting or cooking. Also loves running mountain trails, freediving in cold waters and sharing good food with others.

We’re on Couchsurfers to dive into local cultures and to meet the people. We're both really keen to share stories, laughs, and experiences. Traveling’s far more interesting and memorable when you connect with the locals – and maybe we’ll make some lifelong friends who later can stay with us in Hobart, Tasmania!
