ABOUT ME

Hello! I'm Chandi, and I'm a half-Indian from the U.S. I love all things classic rock, hair bands, and Bollywood.

I just finished a contract as an ALT English teacher. While my Japanese is has definitely improved here, I discovered that I have no idea what Jehovah's Witnesses are say to me when they come to my door.

I'm always excited about trying out new experiences and meeting new people, and will happily share a takoyaki or go somewhere new with new friends any day :).

Also, I'm a little shy at first, but I open up pretty quickly when I get to know people better :).

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't gotten very involved yet. I joined courchsurfing a few months ago, but have yet to really participate.

But I want to use couchsurfing to meet more worldwide friends, and to meet new people in my area.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Saw my students perform taiko, pet a deer, visited a merchant festival in India where we saw a group of men performing the Ramayana, worked on a farm owned by nuns, eaten octopus (well, that last one's amazing to me)

Lehren, lernen, teilen

Learn: Belly dancing, Bollywood dancing, the mandolin, fluent Japanese, decent cooking skills, glass blowing, and just about anything else I have an opportunity to learn!

Share: bubble tea, Japanese convo, knitting, visiting a dog shelter, and whatever else people have in mind

Teach: bubble tea, guitar, knitting, rudimentary Japanese, Tae Kwon Do, English
