About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Pilsening it up!

ABOUT ME

100% urban. fairly open-minded. a little bit adventurous. cold-bloodedly rational.
My friends always tell me that I would get an A+ in cultural awareness. Besides traveling, I love architecture, riding my bike (its a vintage schwinn), and making yoghurt. I like waking up late. I love being mobile; I already lived in 4 countries. However, I might stay in Chitown for a while. I love here so much that I want the city flag tattooed on me.
Ah, and I almost forgot: I am getting paid for doing research on beer!

PHILOSOPHY

Run real fast and never sleep. (If you know who said that without googling it, we are meant to be friends!)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am mainly a "local" and a "surfer" on CS. I always check out the local weekly CS meetings where I live. Here in the US, these meetings are excellent if you want to know more about neighborhoods, events etc. When I travel alone, I usually couchsurf. Getting to know a new city from a local's perspective is always interesting! If you have any questions about Chicago, feel free to ask. My friends say that I am an expert in organizing free time activities and finding the cheapest ways to have the most fun.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The core of the CS experience for me is to meet locals when travelling who can help getting to know the city or who are just up for a drink. Also, in Luxembourg and Chicago I found CSers who eventually became my friends.

Interests

-beer, bourbon, coffee, yoghurt
-analyzing people
-online chess (I am addicted)!

Music, Movies, and Books

What I read: everything about beer, about Hunter S. Thompson and random fiction books my friends recommend. The latest one was Gary Shteyngart's Super sad true love story.

I watch tons of TV-shows like The Walking Dead, The Good Wife, Boardwalk Empire, Big bang theory. I also watch crappy but local ones like the Chicago Fire or the Chicago PD because they shoot them in my hood!

As for my taste in music, my friends are always bugging me how bad it is. I blame my cousin who is in the nr1 punk band in Hungary and whose lifestyle had a bad impact on me :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- 2100 miles across the US, by car!
- I survived a Russian summer university (turned out to be a pro government propaganda camp)!!
- I am a citizen of Bourbon Country as of April, 2012!!!
