About Me

! I am terribly sorry to everyone for not responding to the requests immediately - unfortunately gmail marks all e-mails as spam which hinders checking the messages. I promise to improve myself.

CURRENT MISSION

Go to New Zealand!

ABOUT ME

It's difficult to say who I am, sometimes I enjoy silence and sometimes can't stop talking. I like to widen my horizons and meet people with opinions different than mine ones. I'm pretty crazy about Victorian literature, Jane Austen's books and the world of Middle-earth. One of my favourite activities is swinging on my swing under the starlit sky and just dream... I'm currently building a tree house near a pond on the edge of a forest - so as you can see, I'm going full Tolkien, or prehaps full Mirkwood... I hope to make it my nest and to translate English literature that wasn't yet translated into Polish.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My couchsurfing experience is so far very positive and I consider it the best way to get to know the country/city you plan to visit.
exchange programmes, so I hosted a few students from Germany in my three years of junior high school and then members of a soccer team from France for next couple of years. I also had the opportunity to be hosted by an incredibly nice Hungarian scout :)
I must say that all my Couchsurfing experience has one common thing - there are no such conversations anywhere in the world as there are with the Couchsurfers.
Besides, I've really made some friendships over Couchsurfing, and I'm glad these people did come in my way, because they made my life richer and better :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travelling + meeting awesome new people = a perfect way of living

Interests

I'm interested in quite a few things, ranging from Victorian literature to crocheting to hiking. I might say that the craziest a thing is the more likely I am to be interested in it. I like tennis and I occasionally watch football (more for the sake of the atmosphere in pubs during matches, than for the match itself), I have a motorbike (though I have to repair it) and a sewing machine and I like to use both of them from time to time. I turn nerd when someone mentiones computer games, that's my main occupation when I'm free of worries about exams and work. I love reading books, especially English literature and I deal with Victorian literature academically. I'm very much into Celtic languages and I learn Welsh and Irish. I like to spend most of my vacations wandering and hiking (basically going full Gandalf or Aragorn) and spending as much time as possible outside, surrounded by nature (my parents live in the country, so it's not difficult to do that). I enjoy kayaking and cycling with my family. I prefer spend the evenings in pubs and cafeterias.
