About Me

I am a thinker, people say - a philosopher, positive person, mellow (not the party soul, more like a conversation and travel buddy), somewhat different (I embrace my quirks and different attitudes rather than hide, so I can be a little weird, but we can definitely discuss psychology behind all of that). Down to earth, open to all sorts of activities outdoors, unusual, adventurous, weird or "omg this is my first time doing this" events. Sometimes city is all I need, sometimes I am more into wild nature. I am an all-round person: I know a little bit about everything but I am a master of none. Adventure and curiosity are my drives. My greatest loves are mountains, coffee and early morning walks with my friend. I also enjoy watching people. Simple, but that's happiness for an introvert. If I could pick a superpower, I'd choose invisibility: I'd attend all events and go to all places and just enjoy being there, looking, seeing with my own eyes.

My philosophies: minimalistic, healthy lifestyle, anti-consumerism, courage. I believe that our thoughts create our reality, but damn it's hard work with those false beliefs (but also deeply interesting). I love personal development and at the same time I'm trying to find balance with complete self-acceptance.

Enjoyable activities: watching movies, TV-shows, reading, writing (that is illustrated with my photos), backpacking, hiking, doing things very early in the morning, spending time in a good company, table football, live music and a nice bowl of soup (I live in Scotland after all).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to travel alone, but meeting locals have always enriched my experience. Most activities are more fun with other people and I don't have as much courage to go solo full time. Or sometimes I do. Every interaction has something to teach and opens one's mind a little. I grew so much due to meetings with various people and I'd love to continue that.

Music, Movies, and Books

LP, Muse, 30 Seconds to Mars, Twenty One Pilots, Nine Inch Nails, Nirvana, Marilyn Manson, Rise Against, 90s rock/pop/indie/anyotherstylesIlikebutknownamesof. Books! I love books, not that much reading, as having them (with an idea to read them one day). I usually read about something I want or need to learn right now. But I loved Dalai Lama's teachings, an eternal fan of Harry Potter (not movies, but books), American Kingpin by Bilton, currently: Authenticity project (very easy read, maybe not even that good, but god it's so hot in Argentina and I need something refreshing)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lived and worked in Alaska for 3 months. Then moved to London, which turned out to be not the place for me and started it all from scratch in Edinburgh, Scotland. I love it and can't stop talking about it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can inspire about life and health. I hope so. It's a thing... we all know what's good and bad, but people (me included) need to be reminded, inspired, motivated. I tend to believe that I inspire people. I am usually a good company too. Mellow, chill, but very easy to get along with. I love a good conversation but I don't know anything about good bars or restaurants in my area 😄

What I Can Share with Hosts

My knowledge, insights and philosophy, responsible company for hikes. I keep meaning to make some Lithuanian dish but honestly I am way too lazy when it comes to cooking, especially in a new country (with unknown ingredients and store layouts) in an unfamiliar kitchen. But maybe one day. On the other hand I can cut up some veggies for dinner 😄
