CURRENT MISSION

Save the world, or at least make it better ;)

ABOUT ME

Hard to explain in italian, too hard in english.. anyway, I'm just like a curious kitten so I'm trying to discover the world!
I think as well that references can tell something more than I could do, and even better could be meeting in person ^_^
I usually publish some pictures from my trips on IG ► https://goo.gl/Hez6ZX

[ just an update after my last guests ;) for sure i don't mind if you don't know which music i like, but reading couch info could be a nice idea.
and if you're new here, you can find some tips on my profile page ]

PHILOSOPHY

"You must be the change you wish to see in the world."
so hard, but I'm trying

I loved shooting the episode but honestly I don't like how they decided to show off Bologna since they cut many lovely places I showed. So PLEASE take a look as well at this one

or read here

Few useful links about Bologna if I can't be your guide ;)

► tourism website

and their real office (get a free map!)
https://goo.gl/maps/tRzmr
free wifi (and toilets) at public library (Sala Borsa)
https://goo.gl/maps/zifDu

► where to eat
● looking for spaghetti bolognese? read here : https://goo.gl/h35uYH
● diy : https://goo.gl/zBi5ab (https://goo.gl/maps/YIFJL)
an old wine bar that still keeps a local tradition: you can bring your own food/water (go to supermarket and buy whatever), there you just buy wine or beer! open until 21.30
● fresh pasta (even take-away) : https://goo.gl/E78vgo
● traditional food, meal around 15€ but totally worthy (always book since it's small) : https://goo.gl/0n7vN8
● aperitivo/buffet : maybe best area is around via del Pratello/piazza San Francesco https://goo.gl/maps/OZuh0 (you can spot on map Macondo, Altotasso, Bar De Marchi), or just go down via del Pratello and choose the one you prefer ;) even kebab/falafel here : https://goo.gl/maps/fC8jo
● best pizza in town, don't know about restaurant : https://goo.gl/e2Awa7
● best ice cream in town, don't waste time with others ;) do yourself a favour and try dark chocolate! : https://goo.gl/OR47wB
● mixed library/restaurant/delicacies shop, nice place : https://goo.gl/uDBeIi
● some funny tips about what not to eat ;) : https://goo.gl/qg13nR
● a nice and new experience could be this one : https://goo.gl/4YdwuD
where you can take a bycicle for free (you have to leave your document and fill in+sign a form) to visit around; it's not so close to city center so you need to take bus 35 at the train station and get off at CAAB stop

► where to hangout/dance/have fun
try to follow this : https://goo.gl/maps/N6Mt3
I'm sure you'll find something ;) A : Arteria / B : Soda Pops / C : Irish pubs in via Zamboni / D : Scuderia / E : Hobby One, Bravo Caffe, Cantina Bentivoglio (restaurant and jazz club) / F : Le Stanze / G : Corto Maltese

► from airport to train station
https://goo.gl/t6duQ7
(you can use the same ticket when you get off from this special bus -6€ ticket- and get into normal bus at train station since it's valid for 75minutes)
there's also a cheap alternative -1,30€ ticket- but it takes longer
take bus 54 (just 1 per hour - Mon/Sat) and get off at birra stop (1st one, around 1km from airport, check here if you want to walk there https://goo.gl/maps/LHtwn)
https://goo.gl/hqkgiK : timetable https://goo.gl/ijpLfY
then take bus 81 or 91
https://goo.gl/iXzEHb : timetable https://goo.gl/roabFb
public transportation planner : https://goo.gl/NwrzUA / https://goo.gl/XJvWos (in dropdown menu change from "Fermata" to "Indirizzo" and set addresses then press "Ricerca" button)

► apartments rental
● my suggestion is to go to the area where you'll have classes and look for free announces on the street or at your department's entrance.. for instance via Zamboni is full of announces anywhere
https://goo.gl/dh89i7
https://goo.gl/NlytO2 (if you register here https://goo.gl/WyunLj you can see announces full details)
https://goo.gl/wHWBSu
https://goo.gl/P26p0Z
https://goo.gl/tOjU7z

► mobile SIM
● firstly you need to calculate your "codice fiscale" : https://goo.gl/msfGoX
fill in with your surname, name, bday, m/f, country and press "calcola" : save this code since mobile shops will need your ID card and this codice fiscale to register an italian SIM card
● both are top up SIMs, you pay first month and that's all, no other fees
● if you plan to mainly visit cities, best choice is 3 operator : https://goo.gl/XJfwr5
for 7euro/month you'll get 500mins calls/5GB data connection, but it doesn't work so much in countryside, and it doesn't work with not-3G mobiles/older or basic phones
● if you want to explore countryside I'd suggest Wind operator : https://goo.gl/23cjX1
for 12euro/month you'll get the same bundle you receive from 3 [Update 2018: 3 and Wind are merging their networks so 3 is getting more and more coverage]

► travel around Italy
● I do not recommend to choose hitch-hiking, not because it's more dangerous than in other countries, but because you will be hardly picked up, let's say that hitch-hiking is very uncommon in Italy
● car sharing/find a ride : https://goo.gl/eEzSXV
● trains: there are 2 main companies operating, of course if you can book well in advance you'll find great discounts on tickets!
trenitalia : https://goo.gl/iUsFgZ and check option "search on: all trains" otherwise you'll see just expensive solutions, and to be sure, on results page scroll down and click on "view all solutions" link
italo : https://goo.gl/OMoUzp fast trains but just between biggest/main cities
● buses: it depends on where do you have to go, but this is one of the most used company : https://goo.gl/UmIRz6
