couch surfing is amazing. you meet so many people, so different, and also which have one thing in common.. to bring the world together... is amazing how people you haven't met before give you the keys of their house, are cooking a meal for you and offer you a bed where to sleep.. when helping someone you help the whole community and when someone helps you is actually the contribution of the whole cs family. is a real proof that trust and affection of people can create a new world.. is a blow for the large corporationst that are saying you need a fortune to be able to travel all over the world .. no! just let the world come to you. and you will be anywhere in the world.

I think you can't discover a culture in only 2 days. As a simple tourist who is interacting only with the taxi drivers and the souvenir merchants or only taking pictures with the buildings and landscapes you can't discover all the interesting things that support a society and a culture. That's why we need open minded people like here on this website to help the traveler to discover their traditions, way of life, language, their dreams and happiness, frustrations and concerns
