About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Step back and go with flow

ABOUT ME

I grew up in Seoul over 20 years that sometimes I feel like I'm a product of Seoul even if I lived abroad for a few years. Especially, I love my town where you can visit palaces, museums, parks and, of course, busy downtowns, but what I do love the most about my town is little streets, old & small but nice restaurants and bars where mostly local people rest and relax. If you’d like to explore one of local lives in Seoul and don't mind taking a walk, we can hang out together.

I worked at a private company over 5 years and I learned many things from my work and had good experiences. But, it crossed my mind that I need a break then I resigned early 2012. In these days, I mostly spend my time on what I want to do rather than what I have to do.

I have had chances to volunteer for various causes. I went to China to plant trees in deserts as a member of an environmental organization. In 2011, I went to the US with a group of students as a program coordinator to learn about social entrepreneurship and Silicon Valley culture.

I lived in London and the US for about 3 years learning English and having chances to work in many different places such as a sandwich cafe, community center, and nursing home. In the US, I worked for mentally challenged people as a camp counselor and job coach. I happened to learn yoga and meditation there, which has brought me to another stage of my life and helped me to stay centered.

Well, it's about a bit of me and I'd also love to listen to your story :)

PHILOSOPHY

This moment is the best part of my life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

With a bad sense of direction and no huge interests on touristic things, I wouldn't dare to experience local life overseas without Couchsurfing. I also have chances to meet many interesting couchsurfers in my country. And, of course, I keep talking to my friends how great Couchsurfing is to spread this culture over my town and maybe over the world!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've traveled overseas with helps of my Couchsurfing friends. I also showed Couchsurfers who visited my country around my town and help them experience local life.

Interests

Meeting people from diverse backgrounds and experiencing different cultures.

Doing yoga and meditation that help me stay calm and centered.
