I'm a Brazilian student that has spent the last months in Canada. I came here with a scholarship that I received from the Canadian Government and I think this is the best opportunity I could have to improve my English. I'm living with a host family and I'm loving it.

Although my real passions are history, philosophy and cinema, I'm currently studying law and trying to find myself in this field. The classes that I'm attending here in Canada are really helping me with this mission.

I love discovering new cultures and I think the best way to learn about them is observing and listening, so I want to find people who can help me in this path. I also know quite a lot about my own culture, which I love, and I'm always excited to share it.

Btw, I also love literature and it has helped me to discover a lot about other peoples and places. If you wanna discuss Brazilian or South American literature, talk with me. :)

Besides Canada, I have already been to Europe, Mexico, USA, and I feel now is the time to go across Canada.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Once, I was in Rio drinking a coffee in Starbucks and two ladies asked me if I could help them. They were Canadians and were lost in downtown trying to find someone who spoke English. Although I don't have perfect English, we started to chat and I helped them to find a vegetarian restaurant. We had lunch together and this was the beginning of our three days together in Rio. We visited many places together and at the end they called me their Brazilian angel. Now that I'm here in Canada they are taking care of me calling me every week.

This experience showed me how is possible to run into amazing people in our life and make links with just a smile and kindness.

So, when I discovered couchsurfing last month I thought it would be the opportunity to find more people to call friends around the globe.
