About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Live with a good question (rather than a bad answer...)
ABOUT ME
I'm a recent graduate interested in meeting people that I would not be able to meet in my daily routine. Office workers or underground artists, chilled out people or crazy spirits, integrated locals or lost tourists, you're all welcome for a few days or a simple coffee. See you guys soon!
PHILOSOPHY
I like to think that most situations can be lived in a positive way, all we have to do is to find the right angle and perspective to see how we can enjoy or learn from a particular experience. I also like to think that the same applies to the people you interact with.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hosted and been hosted a few times, always had great experiences. I also try to attend local meetings now and then, but while I love to meet couchsurfers in small groups, I generally don't really enjoy big gatherings... :(
Interests
Antoine de Saint Exupery said that perfection is attained, not when there is nothing more to add but when there is nothing more to take away. And I think that it's a good way to look at life. In brief, I enjoy simple things, walks, hikes, chess, reading, a few beers with good friends, a coffee with strangers. I'm also a movie junkie, I'm not much into series but movies are addictive. So if you're looking for some company for a Lord of the Rings or Star Wars marathon, you can count me in... :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Here's my favorite movie: The man from earth. It's a pretty unknown movie (I've never met anyone who had heard about it) but the vast majority of the people I recommended it to loved it. Don't watch the trailer, don't read anything about it, just download the movie and press play. I'll just tell you that it's a conversation between a few people, an amazing one.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was in Santiago when the 2010 earthquake hit the city, sleeping in a 25 story building... The whole building was literally swinging, the furnitures were falling and a very strange noise was present. The feeling that nobody could help you against mother nature was both scary and humbling.
Teach, Learn, Share
Here's the type of question that makes you think a lot about the actual value of your academic education. Unfortunately, I feel that I am in no position to teach anything reeally useful. I did study Das Kapital in depth so if you're interested in having a conversation about current economic events and how they relate to Marx's analysis, that's something I could do.
