ABOUT ME

I am simple (motto: "it's not a problem"), easy to get along, I hardly get offended, which means never, and I don't believe myself to be at the center of the universe, so I pay attention to other people by trying to be kind and I do not litter.
I grew up in northern Italy and Southern Brazil.

PHILOSOPHY

Follow stoic principles.
Be what you want to be and do not conform if it doesn't feel right, but be wise and not a fool. Never disregard traditions with some naive rationalization, reflect and be humble, not arrogant.
Listen carefully to what your grandparents have to say.
What else?
Be kind, be honest and carpe diem.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I had two great couchsurfing experiences, both of which I got involved thanks to my brother. We spent the first days of 2011 couchsurfing in Florence, hosted by a fantastic person, and in February of the same year we joined the couchsurfing meeting BigCiaspolata in the Dolomiti, which was amazing.

Update: in December 2011, while living in Turin, by pure instinct, I packed my bag and went South. Unfortunately in the beginning, going through Genova and Pisa, I didn't find any couches, but by the time I arrived in central Italy I met some really nice people who hosted me in Perugia and Macerata. Nice experience!

Update 2012: July/August 2012 I had my first experience hosting. So check my brother's profile for references, to see how bad we treat our visitors.

Intereses

In a mediocre way, I am pretty much interested in everything. One of my goals is to overcome mediocrity one day,... possibly without making a deal with the devil.

Music: Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Debussy, Bossa Nova, choro, Yamandú Costa, musica gaucha, tango.... whatever, I am not an expert.
Movies: Monicelli, Risi, Petri, Fellini, Kubrick, Rosi, Chaplin. I'm a big fan of italian movies, particularly from the period '40-'80. Among my favourites: Un borghese piccolo piccolo, Bianca, Indagine su cittadino al di sopra di ogni sospetto, Uomini contro, Il cammino della speranza, La Grande Guerra, Una vita difficile, I vitteloni, Pane e Cioccolata, I pugni in tasca. Great brazilian movies: O homem que copiava, Bye bye Brasil, Pixote, Cidade baixa. Books: my interests are wide and I'm into philosophy (epistemology, stoicism), science(evolution, computing, nutrition, fitness), economic theory and political philosophy.
