One of the best things in travelling is to be able to meet new people every day, from diferent backgrounds and with diferent ways of being and thinking... It's a basic need - communication.
With couchsurfing, we can not only comunicate, but actually live and learn while we do so. It creates a closer conection between people, and i'm all up for that!

Me and a friend of mine bought a one-way flight ticket to Milan, Italy, from Porto, Portugal, and made no plans for the rest of the trip. We only had one goal: return home safely, spending none or as less money as possible.
Two guys, two backpacks, one tent.
We did it in 17 days, crossing 7 countries, and spending only 0,80€ from the money we had.
I witnessed in first person the kindness and beauty of the people living on this planet; it was the most life-changing experience i've had so far!
