About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Work arduously towards continued employment in China and continuing travel, helping people explore the world effectively and open-mindedly along the way, towards one day obtaining a residence permit in Bhutan.

ABOUT ME

A perpetual student, always on the road, one daring enough to even lick toad.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I try to stay grounded with the local community where I am. I just returned from travelling Southeast Asia for nine months, and although I rarely Couchsurfed, I can't think of better ways to give back to the amazing people met along the way than to possibly home them as homily as they did me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I find it very difficult to stay grounded in the home environment, and generally view couch as law. I find myself commonly making my way outside of the home city for volunteering and socializing opportunities, and have never found a noctural habitat which was unpleasant or unbearable.

Interests

There is very little, if anything, that I am not interested in. If so, you could easily convince me. However, motion and road are law, and so cultural discussions, linguistics, and psychology top the list. I am interested in all forms of spiritual exploration, and find myself frankly fond of spontaneity.

Music, Movies, and Books

Agassi's 'Open' reinvigorated my interest in the psychology of sport, while indie likes of Appleseed Cast and The Mercury Program catch musical interest. I read just about anything, preferably Murakami and Kundera. Christopher Nolan's epics open my eyes towards what it means to be truly be alive, alongside the metaphysical wonders of 'Vanilla Sky'.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Running up mountains in China with local peach-pickers singing 'Qingzang Gaoyuan' to ease the way.
