ABOUT ME
Currently, I live in Riverdale (the Bronx) with my wife Danielle and our cats Cindy and Ella. I love to travel, the outdoors, meeting great people, exploring new cultures and having people over for a meal or a drink. When I travel, I try to plan most of my trips around water-related activities including Scuba diving, fishing, kayaking and hopefully soon sailing.
PHILOSOPHY
These days I try to look at the positive and what I can learn from what often seems monotonous. Simultaneously I try pursue my interests without being bashful.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have been part of the CS-er World for a little while now. While I am no longer as active as I once was, I have hosted, Surfed and traveled with many CS-ers and continue to do so on a semi-frequent basis. I have also hosted many events though not many these days.
I have been to events with 300 people and others with 5. Most of my experiences have been great and the people nothing short of wonderful. One of those people was so wonderful I married her :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have made friends that I hope to have for a long time and also had just a few hours with others who have deeply touched me. I have hosted events quite a few times and have been blown away by the overwhelming attendance. I encourage everyone to open your doors to new people, ideas and experiences. If you can organize an event give it a shot. If you can host, it is a wonderful thing and if you are just looking for an excuse to travel, get out there!!
