Overview
About Me
I joined CS when I was 18. Back then I would pick up surfers from the train station and sneak them into my house. I’d tell my mother they were classmates of mine when she clearly could tell the 30 year old man in the living room most definitely was not in any class of mine. I would swoon over their stories of hitchhiking across the world while I dreamt of becoming a vagabond and living out of a van.
Instead I spent 27 years of my life in school, moving from one university to the next until I finally finally finished, receiving my Masters in Public Health. Soon after graduating I was able to live out my dream of leaving everything behind to travel.
My husband and I eloped after meeting online, quit our jobs, donated all our stuff, and now we are embarking on a honeymoon around the world.
I am always eager to meet like minded people over CS. I’ve had amazing experiences through meet ups and hosting people. I’ve made life long friends and will always hold CS high on my list of recommendations.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
"A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects."

Music, Movies, and Books
Tom Petty. I'm a sucker for pretty words. Most of the music I enjoy falls under the category of "pretty, sleepy time music." I spend a lot of time at live shows and at home actively listening to music.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I always believe life is for living. I strive everyday for new experiences and to be put out of my comfort zone.
I’ve jumped off the worlds highest bungee, had dinner by the worlds first female chef to receive two Michelin stars, was the first passenger in an Ariel Atom where we were the fastest car on the race track, sat front row at Tom Petty right before he passed away, and eloped with a boy I met online after just 7.5 months.
