About Me
I have a travel blog now! Started it for my trip in July 2019. And places I've seen before. And what I will see in the future. I think it lacks cute animal photos but I'm working on it.

So my name seems to confuse people. My name is not Lina, but Iina.
About my couch: I live with my boyfriend and our guests stay on the couch in our living room. Not much privacy for anybody but we do have a bathroom that locks.
About me: I am currently working as a maths teacher in a high school in Espoo. Wish me luck, I still need it every day!
I like to get busy and I try to involve myself in more projects than I can handle. However, that has led me into making new friends and interesting experiences, like building lego cars with children or roaming Suomenlinna sea fortress in pursuit of the perfect creepy photo.
In 2016 I moved to Belfast to make a life for myself but it turned out I couldn't really study there or find a job so I'm back in Finland. It was a great experience though, and I learned a great deal about Northern Ireland and hitchhiking :)
Things I could be doing in five years:
-Hosting robot fights
-Tending to my newly bought cow in Nepal
-Teaching physics and mathematics to gain a steady income
And seriously if you start your message with "Hello, Lina" I start thinking about handkerchiefs because that's what liina means in Finnish. I don't want to relate to an object people blow their noses into. Please respect this one wish I have and sorry about the ranting (:
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Mostly good experiences I've had during my time here. Meeting quirky people. CS meetups.
Interests
Sports like wall climbing and dancing, knitting, sewing, physics, mathematics, board games...
My future travelling plans: Visit Australia and meet my little brother there, see Cambodia, go back to Ireland, do the whole Trans-Mongolian railway thing, driving around Lapland in all the nordic countries, all the other stuff adventurous people have yet to suggest
My next trip will be a plane/train trip from Barcelona to Berlin. Did you know there is a mercury fountain in Barcelona!?

Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach some basic climbing tricks. Then of course, I would be super happy to teach physics or mathematics. I've been led to believe that knitting is not something everyone in the world can do so it would be great to teach that, too.
I'd like to learn everything. I may have some wisdom to share.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I usually share family secrets and/or tidbits of the history of my love life. Am also very interested in your own.
As physical objects, I can probably share some Finnish salmiakki (salt liquorice) and my favourite brandy Jaloviina ("noble liquor").
