About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To accomplish as many clichés as possible!

ABOUT ME

Hey, I'm Marcio born and raised in São Paulo, currently based in Sweden.
I'm an art director and an occasional globetrotter.
My parents are japanese but I was born in Brazil, which means that I'm not that bad at dancing and I'm not completely outraged by guys being able to buy used panties in vending machines. That I suck at football but I can cook a rad teppanyaki. That I can be a dork at times but I have no problems showing my feelings or telling my mom that I love her. I'm probably more Brazilian than Japanese, whatever that means. But both parts are sure well represented in this being :)

PHILOSOPHY

Your word is everything you have and the only thing you really own.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I don't have any experience as a surfer yet, but I've hosted a Bulgarian guy my sister met in Canada once. It was 2007 and by then I didn't have a clue that that thing had a proper name ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

To make a list is probably one of the most demanding mental activities I can think of, so I'm trying to centralize things as much as I can.

If you're interested, you can see some of my fav movies on Mubi (http://mubi.com/users/172680/films), some of the books I own on LibraryThing (http://www.librarything.com/catalog/xixa ~ ok, so there is a more tiresome activity than making a list. I'll finish cataloging my books as soon as I can. Probably. Hopefully.) and as for music... well... The Beatles?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Visited the Tahir Square close to the Egyptian Revolution's 1st anniversary
- Spent three months in Russia, just because
- Couple of times rolling naked in the snow right after sauna in Finland
