Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
learn and play folk music from all over the world
ABOUT ME
I've been living in SF recently, but am about to head out to Eastern Europe. I'm originally from Russia and have a fascination with all manners of folk music, esp klezmer, balkan, and middle eastern music.
My goal is to be able to balance part time music and part time computer work, so that I can sustain myself, play music and travel. I feel like I'm making progress.
Eventually, I would like to be able to contribute to the world in meaningful way, to bring joy to others, either through music and/or through other work.
PHILOSOPHY
Be kind to others as you would like them to be unto you. When in doubt, be nice.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I haven't used CS.com that much, but am beginning to now that I'm about to go to Europe. However, I've surfed with many friends throughout the US and Canada, and had great experience. Once I return, I'd love to be able to host people in SF and finally I should be able to.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've stayed with an excellent musician in Montreal last year, whom I met through CS. He introduced me to some great Romanian tunes and a whole of musical groups in Montreal.
