Overview
About Me
Traveling is a privilege for me. Growing up, I did not have many opportunities to explore different places, so I truly value every chance I get to see the world. A turning point for me was when I joined a student exchange program in the United States in 2023. Traveling there with new friends from different backgrounds completely reshaped the way I see the world. From that moment, I knew I wanted to continue exploring beyond my comfort zone.
Right now, I’m studying Food Technology in Belgium. With this opportunity, I want to make the most of it by discovering new places, experiencing different cultures, and understanding how people live beyond what I have known. As a traveler, I prefer slow and meaningful experiences rather than rushing through tourist attractions. I enjoy small bookstores, local cafés, and nature walks. I deeply respect personal space and house rules, and I truly appreciate the generosity of anyone who opens their home to me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
During my trip to the United States in 2023, a friend introduced me to Couchsurfing and we tried it once in St. Louis, Missouri. It became one of the most memorable parts of my journey. We met a wonderful host and shared stories about our different backgrounds, which showed me that Couchsurfing is much more than just a place to stay.
For me, it is a way to connect with open-minded people, exchange perspectives, and experience a place through a local’s eyes.

Music, Movies, and Books
I mostly listen to indie and indie folk, singer-songwriter pop, and soulful R&B. I enjoy movies and series that explore human connections, personal growth, and culture. Lately, I’ve been reading Russian classics and Sally Rooney’s novels.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Being in the same room with people from over 60 different countries!
What I Can Share with Hosts
If you’re curious, I’d be happy to share stories about Indonesian culture or cook something from my home country. I might even bring a few little souvenirs from Belgium :)
