About Me

ABOUT ME

mmmm... always this section... eheheh
Ok, i'm an easy going guy, always down to laugh and making other people laugh. I speak all the time, and I love people who have something to say.
I got my PhD in biology and I'm now into the teaching business.
Also I sing. After a life of ignorance and lazyness, I finally stepped into the way of the rock and roll. So I feel not to know enough of these kind of things, and I always try to listen to people making their point.

...I can see that I can't write anything here that is not asked in other sections, so i'm going to satisfy CS :D

PHILOSOPHY

Summarizable as "tempus fugit", even if it sounds banal.
Basically I'm going to die sooner or later, so I better do something good before it happens.
Learning things is a good kind of start.
Doing stupid things is a good start too.
I try to do them both.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to partecipate both as a host and as a guest. I've been mostly hosting in the last years of CS life, since I can't travel as much as I would, but I really find impressive how people share all that energy with me and everyone around them.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've already hosted people from different countries, and I'm hoping to host more and more interesting people.
Also I helped a more experienced friend of mine in partying with couchsurfers, having AWESOME time every single time we caught up.
Moreover I lived one year with erasmus guys, teaching them italian. I know it's not exactly couchsurfing, but the atmosphere was quite the same. As a matter of fact that was the best year I've ever lived...

I want to experience more! Come on guys!

Interests

uuuuuuuuuuuu... many!
Mainly sciences, singing, low-level-philosophy, music, partying, beer, technology, dementiality, Saccharomyces cerevisiae, talking until dawn, talking until dawn being drunk, yelling at night and listening to stories.

Music, Movies, and Books

"Information is not knowledge, knowledge is not wisdom, wisdom is not truth, truth is not beauty, beauty is not love, love is not music, music is the best... "

So, now that you know how this sacred this thing is, I'll let you know that, other than Zappa's work, I enjoy '70s rock and roll, progressive rock (hell yeah!), jazz, fusion, italian music from '80, a little rap, blues and funky.

Movies....mmm... let's say Dead poet society. Anything by Mel Brooks or Woody Allen. Hot shots 1 & 2. Minority report. Amici miei.

Finally I'm sorry to admit this, but i don't read too much. I like Charles Bukowsky or Lewis Carrol, but I like more listening to things, instead reading. Uh, i recently read A song of ice and fire and I'm completely addicted now...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Zumaia.
It's a peak of rock going stright into the Atlantic Ocean, near San Sebastian, in the Basque Country.
It was such a long time ago, but i can still recall the sound of the wind, the view of the waves, and my deepest friends around me in that bit of infinity.
Speechless.

Teach, Learn, Share

Let's see... I can show you the city, and party like there's no tomorrow.
Finally I'm absolutely eager to teach italian to other people! I love my language, even if many persons say it sucks. They are not to be taken into consideration. Italian ROCKS!
I can also teach biology, evolutionism, scientific method and the deep meaning that hides behind beeing drunk!
