Hola! Somos Ilán Vivanco (31) & Gise Haag (35).
Yo soy de Buenos Aires y Gise es de Trelew, Chubut. Nos conocimos hace 8 años en Bs. As. y en 2015 nos mudamos a Puerto Madryn. Nos encanta la ciudad y todos sus al rededores. La disfrutamos lo que podemos, y nos encantaría poder compartirlo con ustedes.

Vivimos con nuestra pequeña hija Olivia (2.5) y además tenemos un gato, Simba, y una perra, Samantha. Ojalá que disfruten de su compañía tanto como lo hacemos nosotros.

Hi! We are Ilán Vivanco (31) & Gise Haag (35).
I was born and raised in Buenos Aires, and Gise grew up in Trelew, Chubut. We met eight years ago in Buenos Aires, but we moved to Puerto Madryn in 2015. We love this city, we really enjoy the landscapes around here, and we would like to share these experiences with you.

We live with our two-year-old daughter, Olivia, and we also have a cat, Simba, and a dog, Samantha. So we hope you enjoy their company as much as we do.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Nos encanta viajar y conocer nuevos lugares. Por eso creímos que la idea de compartir experiencias con gente de todo el mundo sería muy interesante. De hecho, tenemos pensado, en un futuro lejano, tener algún tipo de emprendimiento relacionado al turismo, así que esperamos aprender a hacer sentir a la gente como en casa.

We love to travel and go to new places all around. We think the idea of sharing experiences with people from all over the world would be pretty interesting. In fact, in a distant future, we are thinking of running a small tourism business, and we hope to learn something about how to make people feel at home.

Interests

Me encanta la fotografía, me apasiona. No iría a ningún lugar sin mi cámara. Trabajo como programador web y verdaderamente me encanta lo que hago.

Por otra parte, a Gise le interesa de todo un poco, pero solo un par de meses. Siempre está buscando algo nuevo para hacer.

Nos encanta cocinar, aunque ella es mejor que yo. No se pueden ir de casa sin probar su pizza casera.

I love photography, I'm very passionate about it. I wouldn't go to any new place without my camera. I work as a web developer and really love my work.

On the other hand, Gise is interested in everything, but just for a couple of months. She is always looking forward to finding a new thing to do.

We love to cook, but she is better at it! You can't be here without tasting her home-made pizza.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Viajamos al rededor de Europa hace unos años y tratamos de viajar al menos una vez al año a algún lugar nuevo. También hemos estado de ambos lados de la experiencia de Couchsurfing, como hosts y como guests. Si bien obviamente hubo algunas experiencia más destacadas que otras, tenemos la suerte de nunca haber tenido ninguna que haya sido mala.

We traveled around Europe a few years ago, and we always try to at least go to some new place once a year. We've also been on both sides of the Couchsurfing experience, as hosts and as guests. Of course, we have had much better experiences than others, but we were lucky enough not to have any bad ones.

Teach, Learn, Share

Podemos intentar de enseñarles un poco de español, alguna receta Argentina o algo de nuestra cultura y geografía. Y por supuesto aprender lo mismo de las suyas. También enseñarles algo de matemática, física o cosas extrañas como aprender a armar de cubo de Rubik o a memorizar 20 decimales de Pi.

We can try to teach you Spanish, some Argentinean recipe or something about our culture and geography. And even learn some about yours. And maybe to teach you some math, physics or freaky stuffs like how to solve the rubik's cube or how to remember 20 decimals of Pi.
