Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It's my first attempt in this type of surfing, usually I stay with friends or family. After living for two months in Guest houses in India, it is so much fun to stay in actual homes.

Interests

I'm currently on three months trip (the semester stArts in Israel only on Oct 21st). The first 2 months I've been in India where I traveled in both remote villages in the Himalayas and the more intense sight of India's main touristic places.
Now I'm on a month long tour in the USA, visiting my brother who lives with his family in Boston and friends who study in grad programs (mostly history, philosophy and sociology) all over the east coast.
I intend to end my visit with a 3-4 days road-trip in the side roads between Chicago and Boston and I'm trying to find places to stay for the night and people who can show me around and expose me to some different kinds of lifestyles.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm on a 3 months trip that was full of amazing things. One of the most memorable ones was riding to the roof of a local bus in the Himalaya, it was noted by the amazing view and exiting but also because it was the moment when I felt that the adventure had started. Till then I was more in touristic places and that bus took me to the unknown.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm studying therapy (well social work, but my aim is to be a therapist) and I'll be glad to share my experiences of the first steps in this field, both in theory and from the field. Before hand I studied US history and wrote a dissertation on the link between professionalism and US relations with Central America.
And there's the all Israeli issue, I think it's always nice to hear what locals say on their society and I'll be glad to do it, from a critical perspective.
