About Me
Hey! I'm Ilana, from Montreal. I just finished university in Houston, Texas. I'm on an American grant called the Thomas J Watson Fellowship studying primatology, anthropology, and sustainability. This trip has been an absolute whirlwind, which has taken me to see orangutans in Borneo, protect forests in Tasmania, live on farms in India, and more.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My parents host couchsurfers all the time, so I've spent a decent amount of time interacting with couchsurfers and it is such a lovely community. I love getting to know local people and hearing people's stories over a cup of tea. I've been traveling for a while and nothing makes me feel more at home than being invited into someone's home.
