About Me
Hey! I'm a writer who tends to always be involved with some project or another. I'm constantly traveling, but I'm fairly new to Couchsurfing, mostly because I tend to travel quite last minute. I'm trying to get better about planning ahead though! Right now, my job is working on a podcast about climate change denial; before that, I was writing for an environmental publication.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I always prefer to see new places through the eyes of locals; sightseeing is fine, but my best travel times have been ending up at local gatherings. When traveling, I prefer to pick one place and stay a while, rather than bounching around.
I aspire to host one day when I'm in a city long enough to have a place of my own — I feel a little bad only coming on here to surf, but I really do plan on switching that up the moment I get the chance.
Interests
Reading, hiking, cooking, anthropology, psychology, sociology. I'm interested in the science of humans, and I like to apply that to our institutions and systems. I also just plain love anything involving nature, like hiking and camping.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once went to the Amazon and lived with hunter-gatherers for two weeks (I guess technically I couchsurfed with them). I finally learned how to build a fire and cook over it. I know, it's one of those things humans are just supposed to be able to do, but I was pretty psyched.
Teach, Learn, Share
Let's see ... I know how to sew and repair clothes, how to cook a variety of things, how to write well of course, how to make basically anything media-related — film, podcasting, art, etc. I also know some Spanish and Hebrew, which I'm happy to teach.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love to cook every day I can, and would love to cook for everyone.
