Overview
About Me
I am from Cape Town, South Africa. I work as an Urban Designer, and as an architect. I am fascinated by cities. I love the vibrancy and energy they have, but also love being outdoors. In my spare time, when I am not thinking about cities, I enjoy hiking and being in nature. I live with my partner (a New Yorker) in Cape Town.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The connection with other people. (If i did not want to connect with people, there are plenty of other convenient places to stay.) People make life more colourful, and we usually have a lot more in common than separating us.
Interests
Hiking and the outdoors, trail running, yoga, anything that gets me outside (in fact, i'll probably be open most outdoor sports, regardless of whether I am good at it or not!)
Almost all forms of art (especially visual), architecture and cities, nature, live music, good coffee and good food. I also enjoy just hanging out over a glass of wine/beer/coffee and having a good chat.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I feel lucky to find an abundance of meaning in the work I do, thinking through the future of cities and how to make them more equitable. I have had many many adventures in between while living in different cities. I lived in New York for 3 years, before moving back to Cape Town, just in time for the pandemic.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share my experiences, perspectives and way of seeing cities and nature. I love learning about food and how people live in different places. If you are in Cape Town, I can share my love for my city.
