ABOUT ME

I'm a filmmaker and professor at the Creative Media Institute at NMSU. I love my job, love traveling the world, spending time outdoors and finding stories all around me. I grew up in Israel, the US and Canada, and lived on the East and West coasts before moving back to my home town of Las Cruces, NM.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just joined couchsurfing January 26, 2014, and hosted my first guest the very next day. I am fortunate to have a spare bedroom/office and a flexible schedule that makes it possible for me to spend time with people I host. I've always loved the way that people's lives intersect when traveling and I'm hoping that hosting will allow me to continue participating in that flow.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am brand new to couchsurfing (signed up Jan 26), but in the past (while living in other countries) I have had great experience meeting and extending hospitality to other travelers.

Interests

I'm really into the outdoors - hiking, camping, backpacking, swimming in lakes. I love reading and watching films and sitting around campfires. I love making plans and also leaving room for the unexpected, the fortuitous, the synchronistic. I especially love crossing paths with interesting people while traveling. I love writing and photography and dreaming up big future projects - while also trying to be mindful of living in the present moment.
