About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Setting up shop in the cities

ABOUT ME

Well, I'm Isabelle. I am originally from South Dakota. I studied abroad a bunch (France and the Netherlands), and then lived in Yakima, WA for a year to do AmeriCorps*VISTA after graduating college. Now I'm back in school and living in the cities.

That's my geography! I currently work at a bookstore. It'd be nice if it was independent.

PHILOSOPHY

The beauty you put into the world will come back to you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have surfed once with people I did not know outside of CS and it was a lovely experience!

Currently I'm making my couch available. I share an apartment with my roommate (he's a cool guy), so I have to double check with him if you want to use our couch. This means no last minute surfs, but otherwise I just need a day or two to get back to ye.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Mostly only with buddies I already knew, but I've also hung out with people passing through. I'm always down for growing.

Interests

Therapy techniques. Mindfulness is of keen interest at the moment.

Running and how not to suck at it. And also how to do it in heat (gross).

Movies movies movies. I want all the movies.

Books books books. I want all the books.

Music, Movies, and Books

Currently and all-time:

Movies: I just watched Say Anything… and I loved it tremendously. It's a perfect film, pretty sure.

All-time: Scream is probably my favorite horror series.

Music: Queen has been on steady repeat up here. And George Harrison's "I dig love" just came on.

All-time: Astral Weeks and Beirut are top beginning of summer songs.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I jumped off a cliff once? Sober? Mid-day? In France? Clothed?
Yes yes yes no.
