About Me

**It's worth mentioning we live outside of Rome.
You can get to Viterbo, which is the closest city to Marta, by train from Rome and we could pick you up at the station there.**

Ilaria:

I am a “cat lady”, with the obsession of books. I also teach English to kids and I love my job!
I love cats, nature, strawberries, tea and teacups, driving in the middle of the night with the music of “Lost in Translation” on repeat, poetry, books, maple syrup, yoga, blankets, cinnamon and every possible spice, herbs, lullabies and music, watching movies in bed and so many other things. I love being alive and getting to experience all these.

Sometimes I write poems, but most of the time I am just reading, listening to every possible kind of music, taking a walk, or watching movies.

On weekdays Ilaria is busy with work so you'd have to take one bus and a train to move from our area to Rome, but if you request to visit on the weekend you can probably just count on us for moving around and we'd be free to hang out.

**CAT ALERT: We've a cat in the house so if you're allergic to cats, heads up!**

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We'd like to meet new people from different cultures. It's mesmerizing to realize how little we know about the world and how many things we can learn just by sharing with people that are from different and far parts of the world. To live happily , to really live and love externally, you need other people...and you can never know or befriend too many.

Interests

Music, nature, anthropology, literature, philosophy, art, cats, yoga and meditation.

Ilaria:

• Sometimes I self-study philosophy, art and some film theory by myself.
• I like languages and I am trying to learn German, with very little success, and often I watch movies/shows in Japanese and Spanish for fun, and whenever I see a word I don't know I write it down somewhere to remember it.
• I am a compulsive playlist creator and I like to create a playlist for every situation, mood, etc.
• I love herbal teas of any kind and finding out the benefits of plants.
• I am into coloring books a lot and I think they are very relaxing and good for your focus and happiness, no matter how old you are.
