About Me

I am a Turkish girl from Istanbul, lived in Trollhattan, Sweden for one year for Erasmus Programme. I am a Political Science and International Relations student. Everybody calls me lidl it is some kind of a nickname which was given to me from amazing French people. I prefer saying that I'm fun sized (it is a better expression you know.) I like having conversations, having fun, meeting with people, reading, observing, thinking and sleeping a lot! I am fully comfortable for talking about everything, you can take it from the moment you were most proud of yourself to the point that your worst sex or shitting experience I don't mind. I just got the taste of travelling and I am so excited for my new experiences all around the world!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am coming from a society which believes that hospitality is one of the most important thing in communication of people. We think that most amazing friendships and relations start with a good welcoming. It is a pleasure for me to be host as good as I can be and being a kind guest. I always think that as much as we trust each other without putting any criterias or any rules we can love and understand more. This is why I want to experience staying with a person I will see for the first time and having people who has no idea about me at all :) Plus, best way to learn somethings about life and cultures is talking to people and listening to their stories.

Interests

I am very interested in politics, philosophy, mythology, history, music, languages and cinema. I am not an adventurous girl who is into sports or physical activities. But I believe that I can be a great company when it comes to drink a coffee and talk.

I am also very into the humour because for me a best joke means a sparkle of a brillant mind.

I have taken many courses about music since I was 4 and I sing and play cello and folk drums. I always try to learn languages by myself. Scandinavian culture and nature have always been something I am really into. Also I love watching good movies and I love to watch more than just Hollywood movies and American series.

Music, Movies, and Books

Documentaries and biographical, based on true stories and historical, comedy and absurd genres are my favourites for movies.

I am really into Rock&Metal music and also folk music around the world. Jazz and Oldies are also my favourites. But anyways if a song is good genre means nothing.

I am a real bookworm so for me it is impossible to talk about just one book but except the junk popular bestsellers I can read almost every written thing possible.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sitting on the window through the edge of an ancient monestry which is on the edge of a mountain in Turkey. The thoughts and the feeling I had in that moment, also the instability I had about jumping and not jumping.. Not possible to define at all. For the people who is curious about the place; its name is Sumela Monestry, Trabzon, Turkey

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to learn new stories from people's lives, experiences and also their lifestyles and cultures. Meeting with new people and having memories is something amazing that I will always remember and smile. I can teach the languages I know or share the informations I know about the things I know. I can also cook some delicious Turkish food and share the tricky recipes with you all. If you are interested I can share my book, music and film archive from computer or from my mind :)

Even I dont live there for the moment I can also provide information about touristic activities around up there, mostly for Trollhattan, Gothenburg and Oslo; sharing my funny, amazing stories in Scandinavia. Also I can visit Istanbul with you, take you to important places and be your tourist guide in here. It is always good to have a company for the local life in here :)

I can share everything I have if you need !
