About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Beer! Frites! Chocolate!

ABOUT ME

I guess my friends would say I work when I work and I have fun when I have fun.

PHILOSOPHY

To put it in the words of Col. Sherman T. Potter, "If you ain't where you are, you are no place".

Interests

Currently I am interested in developing my career as a future architect, and for that I intend to travel anywhere I can and observe how people are thinking, living and getting along. Travelling and getting to know people generally interests me.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like kitschy 50's - 60's movies (Faster Pussycat, Kill! Kill! was always a favourite), sci-fi movies and everything in between. Apart from these, fantasy movies such as The Neverending Story and The Princess Bride. As open minded as I claim to be, I don't understand people who don't like Tarantino, but if you're one of them bring it on, I'm curious. I like weird movies - Lynch, Jan Svankmajer, Bo Wiederberg, but also buffed up action movies and horror movies for fun (beer doesn't slide down your throat while watching anything by Svankmajer, that's for sure).
Also some tv series such as MASH, Star Trek (TNG), Stargate, The X Files, The Big Bang Theory - although nerds aren't like that but it's still fun.
As for music, I usually enjoy metal (thrash, death, doom, sludgy, experimental stuff), but I also listen to classic and progressive rock, a bit of electro, trip hop, industrial...I also like fado, classical music - Stravinsky, Mozart, Gustav Holst, Mussorgsky, Chopin (it goes well with rainy nights), and I have a thing for old cabaret music, especially with female voices. I also love Nick Cave, Tom Waits, Rowland S. Howard, Joy Division, Bauhaus and other gothy stuff. I make a point in keeping an open mind when it comes to music.
As for books, I am totally in love with anything Hemingway. The list here is long, I start getting quite itchy when not reading something. Currently I seem to be reading a lot of sci-fi and fantasy, being immersed in the Wheel of Time series. Oh, and I like Terry Pratchett a lot, but then again who doesn't, right? I guess among my favourites would be the Dune saga, if I were to choose, but there are a lot of books I love and recommend,and I'm always happy to meet people who read (by the way if you're in search of an idea for a book, I recommend reading "Gateway" by Pohl - it's a good sci-fi and if you only read the first it keeps a good air of mystery above it).
And I like comic books as well - Asterix & Obelix, Deadpool, Batman, The Punisher, Hellblazer, North 40 among others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

God, no idea. A total solar eclipse, I guess?
The fjords of Norway.
Oh and an awesome Gojira concert :D
Some people I've known at points in time were pretty amazing and eye-opening as well.

Teach, Learn, Share

I guess I don't know that much, but I could teach you to:
-draw;
-speak romanian;
-some computer programs, mostly those that architects use, if you're into design or photography or stuff;
-knitting and a bit of crochet, and I sew decently, so modifying clothes and so on;
-oh and I'm a decent cook as well.

That's about it.
Teach me everything you know though, I'm a good student.
