About Me

CURRENT MISSION
Travel across Canada all the way to Saturna Island, BC, in autumn 2018.
Also, this summer (2018), I wish to build a small sauna using cordwood masonry techniques, and hypertufa

ABOUT ME
I like to laugh. But I was told I laugh too loud! Is there a law against laughing too loud?...

PHILOSOPHY
I believe that you can make anything happen if you really put your mind/work/time/effort into it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have mostly been hosting couchsurfers over the past 12 years. It has been wonderful.
I am mainly looking for couchsurfers/woofers for spring and summer to help me around the organic garden in Montreal and to participate in a unique 'off-the-grid' project in the Laurentian woods.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing is just fabulous. Every experience is different. The whole concept can be adapted to one's own preferences and style.
The key to a positive couchsurfing experience is 'respect'.

Interests

Vertical gardening, arts, writing, reading, movies, photography, dogs, green building, sustainable development, permaculture, worm composting, voluntary simplicity.

Music, Movies, and Books

If I had to bring one book, one movie and one song with me to a deserted island, what would they be? Imagine, John Lennon. The Little Prince, Antoine de Saint-Exupery. The bridges of Madison County, with Clint Eastwood.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been in a plane 'incident'. I will tell you the story if you ever come to my place.
I guess the most amazing thing I ever did was to hike the Northville-Lake Placid Trail (121 miles) in 12 days.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to compost your organic waste, how to set up a solar panel electric system, how to build small structures, how to make bread, how to knit, etc.
I would like to learn languages.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my life experiences, my travel experiences, teach you a little French.
I can show you how to make wormcomposting.
I can tell you about solar passive and underground houses, about living off the grid, about voluntary simplicity....

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Canada, Colombia, France, Mexico, Morocco, Spain, United States
