About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Hugging my cat

ABOUT ME

A friend of mine called me a 'geweldenaar' last night. I think he meant it in a good way, and then it means that he thinks I'm a great and very capable person. (the other translation is that I'm a violent person, but I don't think he meant that, I hope). Usually people would describe me as sweet and caring, and just a bit quirky.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't try to be better then another, try to be better then yourself...that, and cook wonderfully.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Music, Movies, and Books

Everyone should watch WALL-E, Mr. Nobody, Big Fish and Micmacs (a brilliant french film).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Viewing the sun set in the white desert in Egypt, with a group of amazing people, who happen to be friends of mine. The sence of freedom you can get while all alone in such a vast area made me feel grand and petit at the same time.

Another amazing thing was also in Egypt, I spend to weeks hanging out with the 6th of April movement, a non-political youth movement who were at the very core of the Egyptian revolution. We spend the nights at Tahrir square, the main square in Cairo, which played a central role during the revolt.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can tell stories, learn you some words in an different language, make that photoshoot you long wanted but never got around to and cook!
