Attractions to visit within 30min bus/bicycle ride from my home,

- 梅溪牌坊Meixi Royal Stone Archways, the former residence of the overseas Chinese millionaire Mr. Cheng Fang, the first Chinese consulate in Hawaii at the end of Qing dynasty. It's a historical and cultural relic site for you to visit.

- 普陀寺Putuo Temple, is a South China Buddhism temple where you can enjoy vegetarian food and religious experience.

- 农科奇观Agricultural Science Garden, is a botanical garden where you could spend a couple of hours seeing scenic spots like the "Precious and Rare Flower Garden", "Precious and Rare Vegetable and Melon Garden", "Desert Plant Garden", "Bagua Field", "Orchid Nurturing and Appreciation Center" and the "Family Botanic World". There are also leisure and recreational areas. A small petting zoo for the children and a little fishing area for kids. You can also taste the green dishes cooked with organic vegetables and buy green foods.

- 古元美术馆Gu Yuan Art Museum, is a public art gallery named after the Chinese painter Gu Yuan, where regular exhibitions are held.

Attractions to visit within 1h bus/bicycle ride from my home,

- 圆明新园New Yuan Ming Palace, is a park that features a partial reconstruction of the Old Summer Palace in Beijing, destroyed in 1860 by French and British troops during the second Opium War, which was never rebuilt on the ruins.

- 珠海渔女Fisher Girl Statue, is a famous landmark and the 'symbol' of the city. It has a good view of Zhuhai (Pearl River) Delta with brownish water, rocks, beach, parks and sometimes fishing people. You may also see the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge under construction over the sea.
