Hey, my name is Ilja, I'm 22 and I'm currently studying at RWTH Aachen.

I have traveled and lived in a lot of different countries since I was a kid and since then i loved traveling and meeting new people. Whenever I travel I try to engage with the local culture and experience it from a different, not so tourist-ish point of view. Not only seeing the main attractions of a city, but also exploring the hidden treasures :)

Photography is my passion! In my spare time I go out to places around my town or travel to nearby cities to explore and make interesting photos.

Couchsurfing is a great tool for cultural exchange; I love traveling and exploring and I want to meet other adventurous spirits!

And of course being a broke-ass student it's amazing too.
