About Me

Hey there CSers. Been off for a long time while working on obligatory medical duty and residency exam. As (i think) my life is going smooth nowadays, I think it's time to jump into the community. So, hey there, again! =)
Basicly; I'm Ilker, 29 y/o, born in Istanbul, raised in Istanbul, working in Istanbul. I'm medical doctor, having my speciality education on Neurology, working as Neurology resident in Sisli Etfal Research and Education Hospital.
I've been traveling the world since 2010. I ripped the cacoon and went to Liverpool to visit my dude. Then it started all. Joined a student exchange program and got an internship in Irbid, Jordan in Critical Care Unit. I joined Erasmus programme and moved to Napoli, Italy for 4 months in which I visited plenty of countries in Europe. At last, went to New York City, NY for a friend's wedding. And here I am.
I spent most of my time in hospital (oh don't say..). I enjoy playing bass, playing Rocket League, LoL and Counter Strike, house&420 chilling, hanging with friends when (if) I'm free. Not even counting movies, books and music stuff anyway.. we all love those.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've met tens of amazing people via CS, spent legendary days with them, learnt a lot, shared a lot. We are still keep in touch with some of 'em. CS is the best way to enjoy a city by all means, CSers are the best companies you can ever find. This is the reason, nuff said.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music : oh my god.. okay.. Metallica, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Rammstein, Apocalyptica, Tool, Dream Theater, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Muse, Queen, Van Halen, Oasis, Radiohead, Linkin Park, Lacuna Coil, Within Temptation, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Amy MacDonald, Gorillaz, Astral Projection and many other countless bands or singers.. I'm a musician, music is perfect in all aspects.

1.Fight Club
2.The Godfather (probably part I)
3.Old Boy
I'm also a huge fan of Star Wars (I'm also an expert in extended universe) and The Lord of the Rings (expert in lore either). I'm kind of a popular-book-reader, I don't like classics that much. I have read many of them, but still I'd rather spending my time on new novels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

After a random draw in 50000 people's names, I was picked and I have met Rammstein in the backstage in Sonisphere 2010 Istanbul.

Want more? I jumped from a cliff to the sea (Karaada - Bodrum, 14 meters high), almost breaking my spine while diving.

Bungeejumped in Canal Corinth, Greece!

Drove quadbikes in Wadi Rum desert, Jordan!
