About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Looking for a job, PhD
ABOUT ME
Until recently, I've worked as a Hebrew professor at Columbia University. Previously I spent three years in the UK working on my PhD, but originally I'm from Israel. I'm back in Israel now, looking for a job, not yet based in a stable home.
I love a good combination of calm nature and the erratic city life. My studio apartment is perfect for this: great view of the Hudson River and green, alongside with huge steel bridges, building sites and one yellow neon "M".
I volunteer in Hoshen (www.hoshen.org), an Israeli LGBTQ* educational organization promoting tolerance through direct interaction. We go to high schools, police and army training courses etc., tell them our personal story and answer their questions.
I'm vegetarian, inclining to veganism, I don't smoke or drink. You're welcome to step outside the bldg to smoke. I don't have pets but love them all.
PHILOSOPHY
Devour life!
I believe in looking life straight in the eyes.
Respect yourself, respect others, respect diversity.
Life taught me to be modest, especially in those unexpected spots.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: yes. Music: a bit of that too. Books: too many grammar books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
So many... Living in different countries and continents, experiencing diverse cultures and ways of life, can really turn one's way of thinking.
Learning different languages, and recently for me especially sign languages, really blows my mind.
Teach, Learn, Share
I do like learning, this is quite obvious from my profession: a lecturer and a student.
I'm also pretty experienced with interpersonal relationship and different cultures and etiquettes, so I'm pretty good with emotional advice too.
