About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Get over my irrational fear for dentists. And touch a giraffe.
ABOUT ME
I like small cities, mountains, the day after the rain stops. I enjoy discoveries, colours and culture. I love thick books, the sound of horse hoofs against pavement and the smell of forest and winter. I prefer side characters to main ones, vanilla to chocolate, animals to people. I don't believe in destiny, in just good or bad, but rather in people's selfish desires and wishes. I believe simple things can make us happy, that there should be more second chances and that people have forgotten how to listen.
Overall, I'm a person of low maintenance who is adaptable and happy with just about anything. Okay, I don't like mean people, but no one likes mean people.
PHILOSOPHY
I understand feelings like dislikes and discomfort, but will ever really understand 'hate'. The world is too big and too important for us to be stopped by our petty hate. There is so much miscommunication going between people and we're usually so involved with our own lives that we rarely look up to see the bigger picture and take notice how our presence affects others. This is why I find travelling and interacting with different people and cultures important, get a first hand experience, listen, learn and share it further.
'We ate well and cheaply and drank well and cheaply and slept well and warm together and loved each other.'
E.Hemingway

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've only Couchsurfed for two weeks in Japan and a short time in Amsterdam.
I've moved a lot so haven't had the time to host much, but hope to return the favour soon!
Interests
I have a wide variety of interests, from anything that is sport related and adrenalin packed, to anything quiet and calm like reading. What really grabs my attention is nature and anything nature related like mountains, lakes, caves and just about any natural phenomena. I enjoy the nooks and crannies that are often left unexplored in big cities, the shadows, the backgrounds, the other stories. Also I love working with animals, from wild to domestic, from big to small.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies and books, books, books, there are never too many books; sci-fi and fantasy, anything with a world out of our reach, twists and plots, and laughter and tears.
Just lets not talk about my bad taste in music.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I like different people, different cultures and places. I love the variety of our world and experiences it can bring. I recently learned that travelling for me isn't about just sightseeing, but getting to know the locals. In previous years I have joined volunteer work through SCI and WWOOF, I can only say that my first experiences are indescribable. Apart from aiding a local community I got to meet people from different nationalities from whom I've learned things I normally wouldn't get to know if I were to travel alone or in a tight closed group.
Teach, Learn, Share
This is what I love about CS and travel in general. The people in this community and the people I have met inspire me, make me want to better myself and wish for more people like them in the world. I've learned to become more at ease with my surroundings and people in general, I may still be lousy when expressing myself with worlds but I hope a hug and a smile make up for it.
