About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To enjoy my life and live in a way that maximizes everyone's chances of doing the same.
ABOUT ME
I love travelling and discovering the world around. I work during the summer as a tour-leader in Baltic States with organized tour groups, which makes me a little bit alergic to that kind of travel. In winter time it's too cold for organized tourism and I have no work, so I can afford to travel myself and I think Couchsurfing is a great way to meet new people.
I am married and I live (and normally travel) together with my husband Henrijs. He is a web-developer, so if you are into internet stuff, probably you will have a lot to talk about :) He is a very outgoing person and loves to party.
We are both very liberal and open-minded, very interested in science, rational approach to life and self-understanding. Somehow I feel that it is important to mention that we are atheists and left-wing sentiment is strong in the household, so if you are very religious, but cant stand criticism of religion or conservative politics, to get by with us can turn out a little bit challenging.
When you write the request, please say why you want to meet us. Even if you are just looking for a free place to stay and not interested in us at all, please say it, we believe honesty is very important.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like helping people when I can and when I'm travelling it's a great way to get to know a place if you are staying with local people.

Music, Movies, and Books
I can watch almost anything as long it's smart and some creativity has been put into it, but it's hard for me to watch overly commercial cinema with everything calculated and predictable.
Books: my favourite authors are Dostoyevsky (especially Crime and Punishment), Kafka and Marcel Proust, but I dont read as much anymore as when I was younger. From non-fiction authors, I really like Sam Harris.
Music: all the rock music from the sixties and seventies is ok with me, also post-rock, reggae and afrobeat.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
We lived one year in Mexico!
Teach, Learn, Share
Obviously I know a lot about Latvian history and Riga (Im a guide), so I can tell you about that, also maybe teach some Spanish, because occasionally I teach it to Latvians. I love to talk about languages, and, of course learn them! Currently Im trying to learn Italian.
