ABOUT ME

My name is Ilse van der Klauw. At the moment I am travelling around with my boyfriend Joris Simonetti.
We have met each other about 3 yrs ago in The Netherlands and a few months later we moved to Australia (Sydney, Manly) together...where we had amazing time for about 2.5 yrs. We worked, met al lot of great people..and enjoyed Australia a lot. But it was time for a new adventure..In the last few months we drove through Canada, had an amazing time, saw lots of beautiful things and met some great people. We will do a few more months in de States where we hope to do a lot of couch surfing. After that we will fly to the Netherlands for about a week, to sort some stuff out and of course to see family and friends!! After that we will probably move to Singapore for a while, to work, save up and explore Asia a bit more. By the time we are there, we would love to offer our couch to people that want to 'surf; the world!

PHILOSOPHY

Be happy and try to make others happy. And we try to live in the moment, no deep thought about that...but we both want to enjoy live as much as possible and you never know when live ends...

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I see myself and Joris as easygoing, open minded people. I think people see us as friendly and welcoming. We love to be together and we love to be with others. We love long talks, nice meals, being out in nature, but we also like city's, and going out at night, having a drink and doing a dance..At the moment we live in our car. We have rented a Dodge Caravan and we bought an air bed and some camping stuff, we made ourselves a fine home..

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We both have no official couch surfing experience, but during our travels, we have met a lot of nice people..once in a while people have invited us over to stay at their house, and those were definitely the best, most precious times of our travels!!

Interests

We both love being outdoors, but also reading, surfing the net('nerding'as we call it), watching movies. We also love cooking and eating..and lots of talking.
We like to do sports, but we are not doing much at the moment. I love rollerblading, I just bought a second hand pair in Vancouver. Joris loves running. We both love hiking, swimming and kayaking etc.
