About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Exploring!

ABOUT ME

I'm a down to earth person who likes to discover new things. Beautiful sunsets/sundowns make me smile but what I really enjoy is good food. I'm not a great cook though so I hope you can teach me some easy recipes ;-)

PHILOSOPHY

Enjoy your life now and don't wait until your old.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing all the way through Canada! What an experience...

Interests

My friend is an IT kind of guy but I'm mostly interested in science. I like traveling, hiking, exploring nature,... We both have a pretty good knowledge of the local beers in Belgium ;-)

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm not particularly interested in music or films but TV series as "The Borgias" and "Sherlock" are just great! I am a big Miranda fan (such fun!) and I am fond of costume series like Mr. Selfridge, Downtown abbey,... Just a guilty pleasure.
Preston and Child are my favorite authors. I love Special Agent Pendergast!! I'm also in to some fantasy like "the dwarves" by Markus Heitz. I'm currently reading Game of thrones. I hope to find some more time to read when I am in Canada.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When looking up information for our Thailand trip in December 2013 I saw a picture of Phu Kradueng National Park and I immediately decided I had to see this place. With some difficulties we reached the park entrance and started the 4 hour walk uphill. Arriving on the top we saw hundreds of little tents and only thai people. We spend two days exploring the plateau and slept two nights quite unprepared in a tent in temperatures around zero degrees. The vibe over there was amazing and I got to take the picture I wanted.... I've put it on my profile :-)

And of course our one year trip through Canada will be unforgettable. The mountains, the prairies, the people... Still want to go back!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm good in listening to people and I like to cook desserts ;-) someone hungry?
